What is TreeCoin and what are its goals?

TreeCoin is sustainability for everyone. It is a movement to achieve a change in awareness in the field of capital investment. Through earned profits TreeCoin wants give back to the world and build bridges between ecology and economy. The goal is to make the world greener, by encouraging investment in trees and their sustainable growth.

The investment in eucalyptus trees is implemented by our digital asset, TREE. Through gradual development of new business areas, TreeCoin is established as a new payment method and introduced as currency within the TreeCoin economy. All of our employees and cooperation partners are to be partially compensated in TreeCoin, for example.

The aim for the near future is to reforst an area of about 12,500 hectares with 10 million trees. TreeCoin wants help to preserve the world for future generations.

What does TreeCoin do?

The TreeCoin project creates an ecosystem by using TREE (asset tokens) which include the right to benefit from timber sales. In addition, with TreeCoin (payment token) as currency, a means payment method is created within its own ecosystem. Thus the TreeCoin project establishes an ecosystem using blockchain technology to add value for all participating parties.

Investors can directly participate in the profitability of our eucalyptus trees. Many investors around the world are successfully investing in land in Paraguay. Seeing its success so far, we are looking for ways to make this form of investing accessible to a broader group of small and private investors.

What is the schedule of the TreeCoin project?

The implementation of the project started with a pre-token sale and an HTO (hybrid token offering). The general goal is to plant as many trees as possible.

The HTO will be ending by a certain date and not by selling a set amount of TREE. After a successful HTO TREE and TreeCoin are generated by a Genesis process on our blockchain. The more funds are raised, the better for the project, as it will lead to a larger number of planted trees.

Why do we plant eucalyptus trees?

Because of its perfect properties for industrial wood. It grows very fast, up to 7 meters per year. The wood is very hard and perfect for furniture or other wooden products. Furthermore, in Paraguay the eucalyptus shows optimal growth potential.

Is a monoculture not bad for nature?

In our case monoculture is the savior for the native forests in Paraguay. Through our industrial reforestation further deforestation of the remaining native forest is prevented.

Fallow land is utilized for reforestation to provide urgently needed industrial wood. Otherwise wood demand would be met with the remains of the native forest. In addition, we protect the existing native forests we acquired with our land and cultivate its tropical woods (nativas).

How do we aquire our land?

We only use fallow land that has been cleared by others or burned down, where nothing grows except grass.

Why Paraguay? Do we only work there?

From an economic point of view Paraguay has a manageable market, which can be assessed regionally. With its 7 million inhabitants Paraguay is the most stable economy in Latin America. The country has a very stable price index and exchange rate, which is very important for new investors who see the potential of this country. Furthermore, trees here are growing fast until they are harvested for the first time (after 4 years). There is enough water on the surface, to supply the whole country with hydroelectric power, which Paraguay uses as its ecologically clean energy.

Reforestating Paraguay is only the beginning of the world. TreeCoin starts in this country, because that is where we have our headquarters and our networkshave. We, as founders of TreeCoin, also help other partners with reforestation in Spain and Australia. In Paraguay we are working together with people we have known and trust since 12 years.

The government of Paraguay has recognized the emerging problems caused by deforestating native forests. Therefore, projects like TreeCoin are highly supported and subsidized. The country itself also provides land for good causes.

Why did we decide to start in Paraguay?

We have compared many potential countries by a serious selection process. Each country has been assessed by how well it meets the aspects we have defined as our priorities:

  • Are sufficient water resources available?
  • Are there earthquakes? Are there tectonic plate displacements?
  • What is the legal situation?
  • Is the free convertibility of currencies allowed?
  • Is the national language quite widespread?
  • Which religious denominations are there?
  • Is it possible to acquire property as a European?
  • Does the country have oil and/or gas?

After this process, there was only one country left, and that was Paraguay. The only down point of Paraguay is that it has no access to the sea, which however is trumped by its enormous water reserves. The other side of the coin is that the country is not overrun by tourists and its resources can be used elsewhere.

Do people in Paraguay benefit from the activities of TreeCoin?

To promote the economic and social development of Paraguay law 117/91 on foreign investment encourages domestic and foreign investment. Foreign investors have the same guarantees, rights and obligations as an domestic investor. All guarantees, rights and obligations for foreign investments, which the government of Paraguay has agreed with other countries or international organizations through bilateral or multilateral instruments, apply to the respective national investments.

In addition, we compensate labor above the relative standard of the country and have started various charity projects.

Which trees does TreeCoin plant?

“Eucalyptus was chosen for cultivation because it has been proven as the best alternative. Due to Paraguays subtropical climate eucalyptus trees are growing four times faster than in Europe. The wood of eucalyptus trees can easily keep up with exotic precious woods in quality, appearance and weather resistance. Its wood is traded worldwide and has proven to be a cheaper alternative with the same properties as other tropical wood. Furthermore, the tall-growing tree acts like a natural protection for native trees; it protects them from strong winds and other conditions.

In general, eucalyptus trees help preventing deforestation in Latin America, because plantations cover the demand of wood, e.g. wood for energy production as well as paper industry. There are no natural coal in South America, and the import of the huge quantities of crude oil and natural gas is very expensive. Although there are several hydroelectric power plants for general power supply, the demand cannot be met. Therefore 60 % of energy is generated by firewood. It was calculated, that about 60,000 hectares of land will have to be reforested to meet this demand.

However, not only the eucalyptus seedlings are planted, but also native trees that are otherwise being destroyed by deforestation.

But is eucalyptus a good choice? It needs an incredible amount of water.

Eucalyptus trees can grow 5-7 meters in one year. This means of course, they need a lot of water to make this kind of growth possible. Therefore such a tree belongs in water-rich countries. If there is an irregular amount of available water – e.g. in dry periods, the tree pulls water from the ground of neighbouring areas and its plants experience water shortage. In Paraguay there is so much water that it washes out the soil. Areas where this happens turns into fallow land and remain this way. The planting of eucalyptus in these areas can help to revitalize the ecosystem.

TreeCoin helps making a restoration of the ecosystem possible. 30% of the first investment in 1 hectare land is the price for our biological fertilizer. With sufficient nutrients eucalyptus trees can also grow on fallow land, because there is a lot of water available as well. After 8 years there is already a layer of humus from fallen eucalyptus leaves and branches.

I thought eucalyptus wasn't native to Paraguay, so it is impossible to be beneficial for environment and wildlife. Is that true?

Interestingly enough, the oldest known eucalyptus fossils were actually found in South America, although most of the over 800 eucalyptus species originate from Australia and Southeast Asia. Since there is a large variety of eucalyptus and hybrids of it, TreeCoin works with its own hybrid to ensure the trees growing in Paraguay are harming the environment, but rather strengthen it. Also the experience of our neighbours in Brazil planting eucalyptus has shown eucalyptus forests growing in unison with native flora and fauna. The mosaic planting of
trees offers animals the right environment for living and reproduction.

I have heard that eucalyptus contains oils that can cause fires or spoil the ground water. Is this true?

Although absolutely true for some eucalyptus varieties, this family of trees has over 800 different types. The ones growing in Paraguay are used for wood, not for essential oils, because they do not contain enough oil or no oil at all. Therefore fire or spoiled water is highly unlikely.

What is a hybrid token?

We combine a security token and a payment token. For each security token “TREE” one physical tree is planted in Paraguay. With each TREE the investor receives 50 TreeCoins, which will be available on the market to be used like all other blockchain based tokens.

How are TREEs and TreeCoins made?

After the HTO, based on the total investment amount, both TREE and TreeCoin are created by a genesis process on the Ador blockchain . This took place on 09/16/2020. 10Mio TREE and 1Mrd TreeCoin were generated.

How does TreeCoin HTO work?

The output of tokens is the innovative new way to create a token by selling a limited quantity of TREE (security tokens) to its investors. In comparison with other financing instruments such as debt financing or IPOs, this type of fundraising is more transparent, cheaper and faster. The underlying technology was based on other crypto-currencies and in many cases enhanced with new functions and technologies for a broader range of impact.

TreeCoin raises money for its specific project for investors who can participate by receiving tokens. The security token TREE has the properties of an asset; it gives the investor the opportunity to participate in the sale of wood. There is also a PayCoin called TreeCoin (TXC), which is a payment methode to be used in our own developed economy. Investors buy TREE and eeach one has the value of one tree that has been grown over 22 years. Each TREE has a purchase price of 23 USD and is has a ratio of 1:100 to the paired payment token TreeCoin.

Investors do not receive any right to claim land, property or other assets, rather solely the profits made by reforestation in Paraguay. Thus the owner of TREE acquires a right to 40%, which, like explained above, is distributed at each cycle. All distributed profits are paid in TreeCoin. The ticker symbol is TXC.

In addition to the TREE the investors receive TreeCoins free of charge as a bonus. 50% of TreeCoins and TREE are distributed among its investors via AirDrop. The remaining 50% of the coins remain in the company to cover salaries of plantation workers and to pay and distribute dividends.

TREE is only tradable on stock exchanges, that are approved for secured tokens. It is also always possible to exchange TreeCoin for the exchange implemented by ARDOR itself for ARDOR & IGNIS (Ardor’s Blockchain Based Token) or others on this blockchain to exchange accessible crypto currencies. TreeCoin is transferable as soon as the token is listed on exchanges.

What are the advantages of an investment in TreeCoin?

With TreeCoin you protect nature on the one hand while you secure money at the same time. We guarantee that your token works ethically, ecologically and sustainable.
